Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.  Jn 14:27

The Koru

The Māori word “koru” captures the essence of an unfurling fern frond of the ponga plant, a sign of growth and new life.

Dr. Elaine, with her roots in New Zealand, resonates with this term’s cultural significance. The circular shape reflects perpetual movement, and the inward coil represents the individual journey we are all on, bringing us back to our origin, or true self.

"My philosophy is to treat every patient equally, and as if I was treating myself.   You do not know how long or hard the journey has been for someone else.

Each patient is special, with unique past experiences which has shaped their health and their future - for better or for worse.  My job is to not only treat their bodies with respect and care, but also to acknowledge their concerns and preferences, to help them find workable solutions."
